From 5pm the main music stage on Bishops Meadow will feature a number of local up-and-coming bands (visit our website and watch social media for the full programme as we have it). Carnivaleers can enjoy the Bank Holiday fun by the river where there will also be food from the Beefy Boys and drinks from Harrison’s Bar.
At 8pm the attention will switch for Cathedral Close for our main Friday night performance which will feature a range of local talent including About Face Theatre, Academia Musica, the Desperate Men from the Wye Valley Festival, the Dolloway Dancers, Courtyard Youth Theatre and award-winning DanceFest. The action will take place both inside and outside the Cathedral in what promises to be an evening of amazing street performance.
At sunset, the gathering crowd will process by torch-light down Gwynne Street, past the Left Bank Village over Old Bridge and arrive on Bishops Meadow to see illuminated floats on the Wye and a fire garden in the Labyrinth.
With more food and drink on offer, the evening will conclude with a rip-roaring set from Hereford’s finest toe-tappers, the Hey Yahs.
