A massive welcome to the virtual River Carnival

We’re so sad we can’t be with you in the streets and on the Wye this year. We’ll see you in 2021.

But we hope we have created the next best thing.

A virtual Carnival featuring online performances from some Carnival favourites and some new friends.

Click on a stage and scroll on through and take a look at what you fancy. Just like you’d do on River Carnival Day.

With sports clubs just getting back into action following the lifting of lockdown restrictions, they have been focused on sporting action rather than film making.

We do have some great taster sessions here from Hereford Yoga Centre aimed at children and key workers and prepared during lockdown.  Thank you Jenny-May and the team.

Hereford Yoga Centre

The city’s first professional, fully-equipped facility dedicated to the practice of yoga. It is run by a community focused not-for-profit organisation.

Moments in Hereford sporting history with Catcher Media – Hereford United

Ronnie Radford’s stunning equaliser led onto one of the biggest giant killings in FA Cup history.  Hear more about the game and what happened afterwards in this short film from Catcher Media.

Thank you for visiting the virtual River Carnival

We hope you have found something to enjoy. Spread the word as being online, your friends can visit us whenever they like.  It’s a Carnival all year round.

We’d like to thank:

Arts Council England, the Community Fund and Hereford City Council for their support, encouragement, and funding.

ABC Print for the support and help with promotional materials. Our media partners the Hereford Times, Sunshine Radio and Your Herefordshire.

The DM Lab for creating and designing this platform, helping us through the technical complexities and pulling it all together.

Principal sponsors Harrison Clark Rickerbys whose support over the years – and this year in particular – has been invaluable.

And all our volunteers and the groups, bands, artists, performers, makers, and friends who continue to support us. We’ll be back, bigger, better, and stronger (and on the Wye) in 2021.

Thank you!
